As you may already know, Coach Ed Luksik passed away on 11/24/07.  Deer Park Wrestling will be giving out a scholarship each year in his name as the Ed Luksik Alumni Scholarship.   Coach Luksik started both the wrestling and kid wrestling programs in Deer Park many years ago and coached there for over 35 years. 

He loved wrestling and continued to enjoy it even after retiring from coaching.  He traveled the country and the world to watch this sport that he loved.  He had a special bond with his alumni wrestlers. On December 14, 2007,  Deer Park Wrestling hosted the First Annual Ed Luksik Classic to honor him and the Deer Park High School dedicated it's wrestling room in his name.  It was a very special night.
