For those of you who were not in attendance I can give you all some great encouragement on the status of the young women wrestlers in New York State. THEY ARE TOUGH!!!  Wow, there are some terrific young athletes with a wealth of wrestling knowledge.

Thank you to all young ladies, coaches and parents who drove from all over New York State to participate in this event.
Please contact me with thoughts and changes you feel would make this event larger in numbers and better for all involved.
For those of you who were unable to fight the storm or travel the long distance a note for the future of this tournament.............
I would like to find a more central location to have the tournament but I need people who are willing to organize and assist in running it.

It was brought to my attention that there was disappointment in the running of the pool portion of the tournament.
That was my fault and I will make it a point to ask for suggestions prior to making blanket decisions like that. (Especially when the group is a small number.) My hope for the future is that we run a Folk-style and Freestyle tournament the same weekend each year knowing full well that money and time are getting tighter and tighter for families. Please give me feedback on that as well. Please note that I can't please everybody but I will do my best to keep everybody up on what people are asking for and I will do my best to try and accommodate people.

Feel free to contact me in regards to anything concerning this tournament or future USA tournaments and camps for these young ladies.

On a different note, congratulations to Sarah Anderson who competed for a second year at the boys state tournament and did a great job and to Amy Whitbeck who just missed out  for a third trip to the boy's states but was unable to come to this tournament because of a funeral. Both of these young ladies have truly paved the way for the rest of the New York girls. All the time and commitment they have put into the sport and the successes they have gained have done great things for the rest of the young ladies who will follow.

I hope everybody has a great Spring. I will look forward to seeing all of you in the near future.
Good Luck to those who will be at Oklahoma City this weekend.  I will see you there.

Thank you to all.
Sincerely,
Alex Conti
